Terfamex 30mg Fentermina
Terfamex 30mg is indicated to treat people with exogenous obesity, a type of obesity that does not depend on internal factors. This product is made with Phentermine, which acts on the nervous system at the level of the hypothalamus, in the satiety and appetite centers.
Presentations
Currently, in Mexico, Terfamex is sold under two different grammages:
- Terfamex 30mg and 15mg
- Terfamex OD 37.5mg
Each CAPSULE contains:
Phentermine hydrochloride equivalent to 15 or 30 mg
of phentermine
Excipient, cbp 1 capsule
Phentermine, after oral administration, is well absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. It is metabolized in the liver and eliminated through urine. Its half-life is approximately 20 hours.
Phentermine acts on the central nervous system at the hypothalamic levels of satiety and appetite. Although it is a sympathomimetic agent and has anorexigenic action, it has the advantage of not having the effects of amphetamines, therefore, it does not cause addiction.
Side effects of Terfamex
Short-term treatment with Terfamex may cause side effects, but are not limited to:
- metallic or unpleasant taste in the mouth;
- dry mouth;
- nausea or vomiting;
- diarrhea or constipation
To date, no cases of overdose with phentermine have been reported. In any case, in the case of an overdose, this would consist of an exaggeration of both the sympathomimetic effects. These can be counteracted by general and specific measures. Depending on the time of ingestion, gastric lavage may be indicated in a conscious patient, as well as placing the patient in a dark and quiet place. Maintenance of patent airways and vascular pathways, control and monitoring of vital signs. Intravenous phentolamine has been recommended for the possible onset of severe acute hypertension.
