French Syrup Euphon lean 300ml is a cough suppressant. It is recommended for soothing dry or tickling coughs. Codeine (Euphon Syrup) is used to treat mild to moderately severe pain. Use the lowest effective dosage for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals. The following adverse reactions associated with the use of Euphon Syrup (Codeine) were identified in clinical studies or postmarketing reports. Because some of these reactions were reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not always possible to reliably estimate their frequency or establish a causal relationship to drug exposure.
Serious adverse reactions associated with Euphon Syrup (Codeine) were respiratory depression and, to a lesser degree, circulatory depression, respiratory arrest, shock, and cardiac arrest.
